// What's a cookie

Quick definition

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They let the site remember things between requests — most commonly that you're logged in. PSN.GG uses cookies and similar local-storage mechanisms for the categories below.

// Essential

Strictly necessary

These cannot be disabled because the site won't work without them. Lifetime varies; most expire when you close your browser or log out.

  • psn_gg_session — your login session token. Session-only.
  • XSRF-TOKEN — cross-site request forgery protection. Session-only.
  • remember_* — set when you tick "Remember me" at login. Persists 14 days.
  • cf_clearance — set by Cloudflare to confirm you're not a bot. Cloudflare-managed.
// Preferences

UI state

Local-storage entries (not technically cookies, but covered by the same regulations) remember things like collapsed forum sections, dismissed banners, and your dark-mode preference. They never leave your browser.

// Analytics

What we measure

PSN.GG does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracking script. Server-side request logs are kept for 30 days for security and capacity planning. Ad impressions are counted server-side via the IAB viewability standard described in our Ads Policy.

// Third-party

External services

When you complete a checkout, Stripe / PayPal / Coinbase / BTCPay set their own cookies on their checkout pages. Those are governed by the relevant processor's privacy policy. We do not read or share data with them beyond the order itself.

How to manage cookies

You can clear PSN.GG cookies from your browser settings at any time. Doing so logs you out and resets your UI preferences. Disabling essential cookies entirely will prevent you from using the site.
