Preorders for the Grand Theft Auto VI Limited Edition DualSense vanished within hours of opening on 10 September. They are back.
Where it stands as of 15 September
Black Limited Edition
- PlayStation Direct — in stock. This is the only place it is sold.
White Limited Edition
- PlayStation Direct — in stock
- Amazon — in stock
- Walmart — in stock ($84.88)
- Best Buy — in stock
- Target — in stock
- GameStop — sold out
Both are $84.99, and both ship on 19 November, the day GTA 6 launches.
Stock on limited runs moves by the hour, so treat this as a starting point rather than a promise.
Still do not pay a scalper
Resale listings have been asking $130 to $180 — up to roughly double retail — for a controller that does not ship for another two months.
That trade made no sense when the controller was sold out. It makes none at all now that both colours are available at $84.99 from Sony directly. If a listing is asking over retail today, it is selling you a preorder you can place yourself in about a minute.
Will there be more?
No further restock dates have been announced. What is known is that retailers restocked within days of the initial sell-out, so the 10 September rush was not the only allocation.
The counterweight: this is a limited edition tied to a launch date, and availability tends to tighten as that date approaches rather than loosen. If you want one, buying during a restock beats waiting for a better one.
Or just buy a controller
A standard DualSense is $74.99, and drops to $54–$59 at Amazon, Walmart and Target several times a year. The GTA 6 pad is a $10 premium for a paint job — a fair price for a design you like, and a bad one at resale.
