Every PS5 Release Date Out of Tokyo Game Show 2026

Tokyo Game Show ran short this year — the final day was cancelled as a typhoon approached — but the announcements landed early in the week. Here is everything relevant to a PS5 owner that came out of it with a date attached.

Dated

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 showed a new campaign trailer and arrives 23 October on PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 and PC.

Attack on Titan 3 lands 10 December on PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Toshinden Collection is the surprise. Edia is bringing the first three Battle Arena Toshinden games — the weapon-based 3D fighters that shipped alongside the original PlayStation — to PS5, Switch 2 and PC in 2027. It supports local same-screen multiplayer. No price yet, and no word on online play, rollback netcode, save states or display filters.

Announced, not dated

The next mainline Persona was reconfirmed for PS5 — a standalone story with an all-new cast. Worth being accurate about the history: it was first announced back in June at the Xbox Games Showcase, and TGS was a reconfirmation rather than a reveal. Platform lists differ slightly between reports, and Atlus has said only that it arrives after Persona 4 Revival, which is dated 18 February 2027.

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement got a new gameplay trailer from ArtPlay and 505 Games. No date.

Playable at PlayStation's booth

Sony was the only major platform holder exhibiting, and its booth had four playable:

• Final Fantasy VII Revelation — 8 April 2027
• Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance — 2027
• Marvel's Wolverine — out now
• Ace Combat 8

Plus the GTA 6 theatre, running the Extended Look from August on a 300-inch screen. Not new footage — a point worth repeating, because it keeps getting reported as one.

The short version

For PS5 owners, TGS 2026 was a calendar-filling show rather than a reveal show. The two firm dates that matter are 23 October and 10 December; everything genuinely new is 2027.
